My computer has been christmasified!

YES! This is the best thing EVER. Omgosh. I downloaded something to tweak my Windows graphical user interface and now it's all christmassy!

Warning: photo behind cut is large (800x601)

It's completely awesome! ALL my icons (every single type of icon image...except for program icons) are christmassy and see the top of the start menu? Those snowflakes are freakin' animated! I'm high from happiness... *sighs*

If you want to know how I got that, ask me in a comment. If you see I've already answered someone else...don't ask again. Hahahaha jokes, whatever. I'm just too happy...this is too freakin' awesome to NOT share. =D

Oki doki! ^_^ Just a warning: this works only for Windows XP users.

Go here: http://www.wincustomize.com/software.aspx and download WindowsBlinds and IconPackager. Once you've installed them, then download the following items:

http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=3702&LibID=1 <--this will make all your windows and whatnot look spiffy with Christmasness

http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=1083&LibID=2 <--this will change ALL your icons

Then, when you've saved them into whatever folder you want, open WindowsBlinds and in the menu on the right side, click "Install Skin from Disk" and then find where you saved the files. When you've added it, find it (if you don't immediately see it) in the theme selection on the bottom, and then again on the right-hand menu you'll see "Apply this skin now". Then it will set it up and voila! =D You can now close WindowsBlinds.

Next, open IconPackager. A free-trial/buy now! sort of window will appear. Just click "Continue". [NOTE:It has a 30-day free trial. If the trial runs out and you find that your icons have returned to normal (I have no clue what will happen if the trial runs out), then hey, I've given you the links. Just uninstall it, and then re-download it, and re-install it!]

When you've opened IconPackager, you'll see buttons along the bottom of its window. One will say, "Install New Package". Select that, and select the "from disk" option again. Find where you saved the christmas icons, and then it will appear in the list of possible icon packages to use. Select it (just click it once!) and then click the "Apply" button waaay at the bottom and it should be all set! Then you can close IconPackager and that's it! =D

Also, there's this CUTE Santa cursor item here: http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=1722&LibID=25

But if you want to use it, you'll have to go back to the software section linked in the comment above and download CursorXP

It looks great! I'd like to know how to try it out. Does it slow down the computer at all?

And, I have a fast CPU, but still as of yet I've noticed absolutely no difference to my computer's performance...so I think it's fine. ^_^

http://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=8&view=1&sortby=4&sortdir=DESC&p=1&advanced=0&searchtxt=Christmas That's a search I did in the wallpaper section for christmas-related items. If you want the wallpaper that was made to go with the theme it's here: http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=13955&LibID=8

But if you want something different, just click the first link and take a look =)
